@Cynthia I was just posting a pic of a spider web across one of my cams, one of the best webs yet, usually they are just a few haphazard strands blowing in the wind. I do use a broom and get rid of them.

Good or bad web builders, what are your spiders up to?

This one isn't even attached to the camera, just built in front of it so I am assuming the IR lights will attract some food.

I am constantly cleaning off spider webs, its like a nightly ritual with a broom. They leave my PTZ's alone but are always making webs on my bullets and driving the motion detection crazy.
I think it is because they have the small lip around the camera to attach to and some insects are attracted to the IR lights.
Just a guess but I hate spiders.
Wonder if some insecticide wiped around the rim of the camera would help.

My app store shows 223 reviews on the app, But it appears it is the same app I've had on my Fire tablet for the last 6 months, The ASIN matches. The playback looks different now as that is an older image in the app store. All links in app are Reolink. Its legit.

You can also put google play store on your fire tablet to get more apps.

NVR. I have suspected after my first use of the beta their will be some minimum requirements to get the full use out of the client.
The old client runs fine, both playback and live.

I have been searching myself, found a youtube video, I am with you 100% now.
And yes, I would love to have that feature for playback.

Sorry, I am not familiar with Google/Nest and the word timelapse was out there.

So more like a slideshow? Capture a frame every so many seconds and put that image into like a slideshow gallery that you can just scroll back and forth?

My live feed on the beta is smooth, playback is smooth on clear setting unless I view more than 1 camera, then it starts lagging.

Timelapse would have benefits and drawbacks.

Yes it would be nice to compress a days worth of video into a shorter duration when reviewing it. And if done correctly would benefit some people.
Lets take for instance, someone wants to set up a camera where the deer come up to feed and record that location for 12 hours, but only have a 15 minute long video. Timelapse is the perfect solution for this.
Or they have a camera at their front door facing the driveway and street, creating a timelapse would work in this scenario as well to see the vehicles and pedestrians that go by or approach.

The drawback of timelapse for security reasons would be the playback speed, you would only want 2 or 3 frames per second or you would miss detail.
For instance, if you have a blindspot on your coverage, and it was possible to run in, do some damage, lets say, to a car parked in a driveway and run out of that area, all in less that 10 seconds. If you are recording 1 frame every 5 seconds. That person is on 1 frame, maybe 2 but doubtful. Playing back at 20fps, you will likely never see that person. So you would need the slower playback.
If i did the math correctly, 1 frame every 5 seconds, playback at 3 frames per second.
1 hour of recording equals 4 minutes of playback. Still not that bad.
Users would need the ability to set capture and playback rates.

Timelapse vs Fast Forward
I have noticed during playback and using the fast forward, it doesn't really ff, it jumps, it lags, it is worthless at anything over 2x and needs improvement. On a few occasions LEO's have asked me to review my footage to help them. Trying to go thru terabytes of footage is horendous at best with the clients provided.
With the wide open views that I have an some cameras, I can see how timelapse would be a great help to narrow down time frames.

For a budget build I think Roelink has a great product they can expand upon. There are still areas for improvement and added functionality and hopefully they can give this some serious thought

It wont display the image here but at least its quick and easy without the hassle of uploading your image to some site and then posting here.

Sometimes they are very slow about responding, and I mean very slow. But you will get your order if your payment was processed successfully.

I've complained about this so many times. Reolink does nothing. They do not realize it looks very unprofessional.

Not sure if this will help but you can try changing buffer from 1500ms to 3000ms in VLC

Tools > Preferences > On Interface tab in the lower left check 'ALL' under Show Settings, In left pane click on 'Stream Output', In right pane change Stream output muxer time from 1500 t0 3000.

You can also try per stream, Media > Open Network Stream > Network tab > Check Show More Options in lower left, then change cache time there also.

Depending on your phone,
1: Make sure cellular data in turned on in your phone settings.
2: In Reolink app settings, turn on Allow Reolink to access cellular data.

Turn on cellular data on your iPhone. Settings > Cellular

So far we have non-unifying white that does not work, and non-unifying red that works. I believe your going off the USB color codes, and the white is now obsolete. Please post your theory.
The mouse that myself and Glenn purchased off Amazon has a black insert, which means nothing possibly as it is a non branded product.

My logitech non unifying receiver is red.

So we know the 185 does not work. (as tried here) And a few reviews I found state that it will not work. (Even tho it was listed as compatible)
A couple reviews on Reolink NVR from may 4th 2020 shows the Logitech M505 as working (wow, $100 for that), and an older Logitech 305 was working.
