The 'stretch view' works just fine for on my Reolink Duo Floodlight POE device, along with all my other 1200V4 and Lumus Pro cameras, when using the internal configuration program of my RLK8 NVR. However, when I'm using the Windows app (latest version, 8.17.6) the Reolink Duo Floodlight POE is the only one that won't 'stretch'. All the other cameras 'live stretch views' work great. When I toggle the 'Stretch View' slider off & on you can literally see all of the rest of the images change except for the one on the Reolink Duo Floodlight POE, which stays in the unstretched mode (with space on the top & bottom of the image). I have done 2 manual (hardware) resets of the camera and that has not helped. It is updated to the latest firmware release, as are all of the cameras and the NVR. Any guesses as to why it's the only one that won't 'stretch' in the Windows app, yet will in the native, built-in config program of the NVR? Oh, and it works just fine in the Apple iPhone app, as well; only in the Windows app will it not function correctly. What gives, I wonder?
I have a new RLN8-410 NVR and couldn't figure out how to reset the 'System Log' without resetting the entire unit. Tech Support originally replied back with instructions on how to do it but they proved to be inaccurate. After I called it to their attention, they then informed me that (for whatever reason) it was currently impossible to do so. Now having worked with Windows and other hard & software platforms for years I've never seen any kind of log, System or otherwise, that you couldn't clear, reset & start over again, but this seems to be one. So anyway, that's my 'wish' that a simple update can be made to the System Log whereby it can be cleared and freshly started over again, when it's become too outdated, large & unwieldy. It should certainly be possible for the customer to do this at his instance, with a system that he owns.
I just got the RLK8-1200V4 kit (RLN8-410 NVR & V1200 cameras) and I was wondering if you can set an audible alarm which will sound at the base unit, computer or phone (any or all of the above) when some outside motion is detected, in addition to getting an email notification? Again, this would be on / at the NVR, computer, phone or whatever. The email notification is kind of a delayed reaction, but the main thing is that I have to check my email regularly to see if anything has happened outside (other than watching the cameras like a hawk, which nobody has time to do). If a 'Porch Pirate' is stealing a package I might not know until hours later, unless I just happened to get lucky and observe it in progress. I need some audible means (buzzer or some-such) to attract my attention inside the house immediately when a 'trigger event' occurs. I am on the latest firmware release for the NVR and the cameras. I do realize that you can set the siren to go off outside but that's not really an option, given my residential situation. (The neighbors would give me the Devil if the thing went off every time there was a delivery or some cat walked by)
