Phil, Argus is not compatible with Reolink PoE NVR. We are developing a new recording box for Argus and Argus Pro, which will be more suitable for these batteries-powered cameras. Please stay tuned for our news and announcements.
I worked with Carl in support for about 2 weeks and we found that there was an issue with the UID that was causing me to not be able to connect to the camera. Reolinks engineering department found that the issue was this particular camera had the incorrect UID and it was not registering on the servers. Once they found that issue out the process of getting the camera reset with the correct UID was fairly quick and easy. I had to reset the camera to the point where it asked you to scan the QR code for the wifi settings and instead of scanning my phone for those settings they sent me a QR code that would reset/correct the UID. Once the camera rebooted I was able to add it to the mobile app on the first try which was really nice to see. During our testing Carl had me connect to my other Reolink cameras as well so we knew it wasn't an issue with the mobile app or my devices.
Everything is working perfectly now. It was definitely a good experience for support and engineering with this particular issue.
@themszkoda are you using UID/UP2P as your connection option? I cannot get access to the camera at all externally with these two disabled; even using a dedicated VPN that drops me onto the local networks with the camera. I find that if I do have UID enabled as the connection option, I can access the unit. Have you tried it using IP Address without UID? Just curious.
Here is an example of the SD Card Tile showing up and another where it is not there after going back to the options menu. Sorry for the larger imaged in the previous posts. I have adjusted the one below.
Thanks @Manxmariner and the battery used in the device is not proprietary but not one that I think is readily available to Walmart or your local drug store. It is a CR123A 3v battery. I assume most hardware stores may have them or I know Amazon has them. Just not something I have stocked at home with other batteries.
