I have an RLC-410S, with the latest firmware.I can log on as admin with any p[censored]word (or no p[censored]word).I did change the admin p[censored]word from the default, and I also checked the "Enable login p[censored]word" box.How can I make it so that it will long accept admin login with the right p[censored]word?
Thanks. I tried that, but when I did the firmware upgrade it said "Upgrade Failed! Device is rebooting!"The camera name did change. But I can still log on with any p[censored]word.
That's interesting. I'm having the exact opposite problem.I could login fine with admin/custompw until the latest upgrade. My firmware upgrade to latest version failed (RLC-410S_806_16060601) and now I can't login at all, even with default p[censored]word. Definitely a headache.
For Reolink cameras, the default user name is admin, without p[censored]word. Some customers might type blank for the p[censored]word, it is wrong.Pls reset the camera do be default settings:1. Power off the camera 2. Press the reset [censored]on (Please hold on and don't release the reset [censored]on)3. Power on4. Hold the reset [censored]on for 10 seconds5. Then Release Reset [censored]onAfter reset camera, you can do the related setting again .
I have reset the camera using the steps above and reconfigured camera using the iOS app. In the app, clicked on the yellow-orange [censored]on to go to Device Settings. In the field:P[censored]word <Please input P[censored]word>I entered a new p[censored]word, simple with no special characters, such as "HamBurger". Click the Save icon.Go back to the Home screen (Devices). Press the Play [censored]on at the bottom. Camera returns Login failed and username/p[censored]word combo box appears with username "admin" pre-filled. I enter the p[censored]word I saved in Device Settings earlier and the camera returns Login failed.Return to Device Settings delete (empty out) p[censored]word field and Save. Return to Home screen and press Play [censored]on and app can connect to camera. But then a pop-up appears:AlertUsing the default p[censored]word is not secure, we recommend that you change your p[censored]word now!Well, I did but the camera doesn't like it. Also, a common programming technique is to offer a p[censored]word verification field when changing the p[censored]word, followed by a successful acknowledgement box. That tells the user that the p[censored]word has been successfully changed. Also, I have even tried to delete the camera, but as soon as I scan the QR code or enter it by typing it in, the app says this device already exists. Furthermore, I deleted the app from my phone and re-installed it. As soon as I opened the app, my camera was already listed and connected (with the default empty p[censored]word). I wished that when something is deleted from the app's database, it means what it says! Perhaps that is the issue. The local database is not being cleaned out.A bit frustrated and about to return the camera unless this is fixe soon.JohniPhone 6iOS 9.3.3Reolink App 2.2.15
Sorry for the trouble caused. To change the login p[censored]word, please click on the icon of the camera on the device list(the home page). You'll see a window pop out asking for a new p[censored]word, please input a new p[censored]word and confirm it. Once saved, the new p[censored]word will take effect.Sorry for the inconvenience caused if this is not stated clearly. We plan to add this option to the basic settings in the near future, which will be forwarded to our engineer.Currently, the Reolink client software will automatically scan and add the camera on the same network as the phone, that's why you will always find your camera even after you deleted it.
Trying to reset the p[censored]word for my system. Not sure how but it appears the "blank" p[censored]word stopped working for my devices and I cannot login to them from either my desktop or mobile device. Do I have to reset each camera individually or is there another way? Thanks
One of my RLC-410ws appears to have failed last night, reverting to the default blank admin p[censored]word after reboots. Installed this camera in June2017, and have been running latest fw for months. Neither hard reset ([censored]on press through power cycle per this thread) nor soft reset (windows client) has remedied the issue. Also reformatted card, alas to no avail. Importing configuration via windows client does not restore settings. All other cameras (8) working as expected. Anyone else have this issue?Build No. build 18081403Hw No. IPC_3816MCfg version v2.0.0.0Fw Version v2.0.0.1389_18081403
Hi, please contact our support team to report the issue and they'll help you to solve it soon. Refer to https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
FYSA, I brought the RLC-410ws inside, and it started working fine after 2 days, which support confirmed. I've mounted the camera back outside, and will monitor for failures.
