I bought two RLC-510A cameras to replace older ONVIF cameras. I need to send (ftp) images using one minute interval and that works ok. Also there is a need to ftp motion detection images (not video) when ever motion is detected. Old ONVIF cameras had this feature and you could define how many images there will be for one event. It look's that this Reolink camera does not have motion images available, only video. Is that true? Are there other models available having this feature?
I have RLC-410-5MP and RLC-510WS cameras. Both have FTP settings for File Type that include:Clear Video and ImageFluent Video and ImageStandard Video and ImageImage OnlySeems strange that a similar camera would not have this same 'drop down' menu.
RLC-510A has the same File Type selection, but if I select "Image Only", no motion detected images will be generated. Cameras have the latest firmware v3.0.0.177_21012102.
Oh, wow. I will have to test that.
Hi guys! Yes, the 510A camera also has the "image only" option. And if you select "image only", but there's no picture uploaded to the FTP, could you please contact our support team at "support@reolink.com" and do some trouble-shooting first?
Ok, will try...
My experiment with the RLC-510WA was successful. On the FTP Settings menu, I selected "Image Only" at 8am. From that time on, the only files sent to me FTP server. (Personally, I do not find these images particularly useful.)Have no idea what would would be different about the RLC-510A.
It turns out that camera can upload either timer images or motion images, not both. If there are other customers requiring this feature, it might be implemented. At least for me this is vital and so far other brands have it.
