      Hello there!
Please add "portrait / corridor" mode for narrow and long places like stairs and corridors.
This is the same as "vertical shooting" on the smartphone. Some other competirors/manufacturers already have this feature.
The current setup for narrow places just 'eats' precious pixels on the right and left.
This feature is much easier to the implemented comparing with the license plate reading etc - rotate to 90 degree and that's it!
As to the cameras - they all can be rotated physically, only software setting is missing for that.
      Thank you! 🙏

Yes! I have two of my cameras mounted sideways due to needing a more narrow vertical view, so I would love this as well.

Do you mean this current feature will "eat" the pixel? For the "portrait / corridor" mode you mentioned, you can also give us the example of the other manufacturers. I will forward your request to the product team.

@reolink-fiona Dear Fiona, thanks for your prompt feedback. I attached a couple of screenshots below - hope this clarify the feature. Axis and Hikvision do have this and in my understanding this is a rather simple feature that can be added to your NVR and cameras. Thank you!

Add rotation 90 degrees not flip horizonal or verticle; but addition to flips. It seems you had it at one time. Specifically the rcl-822a to use the fov that is horizontal on vertical. I mount it above the door in a hall and the wide field of view see mostly walls. I rotate the camera 90 degrees but I want to show the video upright but I can't. Can you add rotation 90 degrees switch in addition to the flip horizontal and vertical on all the 4k 8mp poe cameras in the next version of software. Where windows, browser, Android, iOS and all allow this feature build into the camera software. Thanks very much.

                        No, not "eat the pixel".
What we need is a possibility to rotate the picture by +90 degrees or -90 degrees (similar to the "flip" picutre mode, but on 90°=rotate instead of 180°=flip)

Reolink currently supports landscape modes only.
I.e. you can mount the camera in normal position or upside down (180° rotated) and the flip the picuture (rotate picture by 180 degree) in the software.
                        undefined

In case you have a narrow area (like a corridor) it would be perfect to mount the camera just 90° rotated. I.e. the camer would produce a footage which is called portrait mode instead of ladscape mode.
Thus it gives you the need to rotate the picture back by +90 or -90 degree in the software - which currently is not possible.

If i mount the camera turned by -90 deg. I need to rotate the picute back by +90 deg...

Dear @reolink-fiona , is there any progress on this feature? When we can expect to obtain it?
Thx a lot for your feedback.

If this option was available, I can see purchasing more cameras for sure. I have several areas that I don’t want to add a PTZ because I want to capture everything without needing to swivel nor do I want to install a forward facing and backward facing camera to cover the corridor. The 180 degree dual lens camera with the ability to rotate the image 90 degrees would be perfect. It is likely that Reolink could make a lot more in camera sales with this simple feature.
