Will this type of setup work for 3 cameras?

I cannot put NVR in garage. It's too dirty (workshop), and I need a WiFi AP in there. There is only 1 Cat5e cable - adding a 2nd run is not an option.

@greg-cormier_442034107277561 Hi there, you can work with this schematic. If you don't want to have too many wires, you can try the wifi camera and connect them to the NVR as @Crimp-On_62210811129 mentioned. You can click here to know more steps, https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004346714-How-to-Make-Reolink-WiFi-Cameras-Work-with-Reolink-PoE-NVRs.

Easy to test. Connect a camera to that Ubiquiti PoE switch that is next to the router. If the camera can be connected to the NVR at that location, then it will work in the garage.
(I looked through all 206 articles in the FAQ and did not see a reference to connecting other network cameras to the NVR - not through the NVR PoE ports.)

@crimp-on_62210811129 I do not currently own any Reolink, so I need to know before making the purchase if it works. Maybe Reolink will chime in.

This article discusses how to add WiFi cameras to the Reolink NVR. Having no PoE cable at all, WiFi cameras cannot possibly connect to the PoE jacks on the back of the NVR. They must connect to the customer's LAN.

Looking for system, but need some information, make sure I'm doing this correctly. Want to install at least three wired cameras with ability to add more cameras later. As I understand, first connect wired cameras to the NVR. I'm unable to connect ethernet cable to my computer. I would have to take out walls, celling to connect to my computer and I can't do that. Therefore connect NVR to a rooter that will send signal to my computer. I have a rooter that works throughout the house for internet. So I'm talking about two rooters. One for the house internet and rooter for the NVR to send signal to my computer. Do I have the right idea. Thanks Bob Haggard

Hi there, usually we will connect the NVR to a monitor instead of the computer. Then if you want to view the NVR video on the PC, you can download our PC Client and have a remote view and playback on the PC Client. You can download the Client here, App & Client - Reolink.

Purchased the setup and installed as per diagram, works great!
