I already have argus and RLC511WA and I am interested in having the E1 outdoor. This has now been released since April of last year and I guess most of the issues have been resolved (I hope).

Any users who still have complaints on the E1 outdoor?

I am still doubtful whether the camera can withstand harsh environment like being exposed to Sun for 6 hours with temperature reaching 40 degrees. Is the detection quite effective as the one employed on RLC511WA? Does the camera return to its original position after motion has been detected?

          @joseph-chircop_497308027822318

I just purchased one a few weeks ago and it's pretty decent.

The image is clear and it has the ability to create multiple presets with a timed return guard which it does every time.

The AI human tracking is working flawlessly, I'm temporarily in a home we're I share the walk way with my neighbors (2 sidewalks directly next to each other)

I have tracking off (it works flawlessly but then it looks like I installed it just to record them) and zones set for human detection just if some walks on my side or their company steps over bounds (great deterrent for parties!)

All that works 100% and actually I never get a false alarm from something other than a person in the defined detection zone.

I have the E1 Zoom indoor as well that's basically the same with no AI human / vehicle detection and that cam goes off on bugs flying past (and the infrared attacks any bug in the vacinity)

If you have a flying pest in the house, he's going to be swarming around the cam for sure and it will be going off.

The E1 Outdoor is color night vision with human detection so it doesn't have that issue.

The only complaint I do have is the flood on during a triggered event doesn't seem to be working.

Also if I change position of the camera without having the flood light locked in the off position in settings, it will usually turn the flood just with the motion of the PTZ.

I live in Vegas where it's been 100+ daily with no issues.

For a WiFi PTZ that looks decent and is easy to use, I'd definitely buy another.

We're having a home built and it will be going in the garage of the new home where I see it being best suited.

It seems decently built but it doesn't seem like it's built for extreme weather like constant 115 degree in direct sun unless you can get it under an awning or eve.

I could be totally wrong though, it's just plastic 🤷🏻

I also have a 523 PTZ which is all metal and seems much more suited to weather abuse.

It's also far superior in every way but costs a little more.

          Hope this helps.

@ra44 thanks a lot for your feedback. Definitely it is plastic as otherwise the price will be much higher and becomes less competitive. But I cannot understand why they left out the IP rating which according to support is IP64. Still I see people complaining that sometimes camera fails to return to the default guard position. Nevertheless I ordered one and will evaluate it before installing others to a number of sites.

@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 I did purchase one for testing before commiting to buy additional cams. The auto tracking needs refinement and sometimes it fails to follow the person especially if the person hurries a bit. Sometimes it misses the object despite that the sensitivity is high and the smart detection set to medium. Will ask support to investigate though I suspect that such cameras are no longer given the appropriate attention after more than a year on the market.
