I have a 823A. I think I have the newest 823A firmware, v3.10.956.....It's been out since April I believe. While it does a good job tracking humans walking, it often can't keep up when cars drive by much of the time. My street is about 60' from the camera with left/right, right/left view, no curves or road coming toward the cam. There's a kid in the neigbhorhood that drives a golf cart on the street. My 823A can't follow it. When the mailtruck stops by my mailbox, sometimes the 823A won't follow it. A few months ago I sent Reolink support several videos of the cam not reacting fast enough to follow cars. In the specs Reolink should specify the 823A can't folIow vehicles if they are passing by more than 10mph or so. I decided to turn off the vehicle tracking. I'm hoping there will be a newer firmware that improves this. For those with long driveways or when the street is further from the house, the 823A likely does a better job tracking vehicles.I contacted two other brands that sell PTZ cams. They said their's cannot track vehicles as close range faster than about 8-10mph either. I'm not here to bash Reolink. I really like my Reolink cams. I recommend them. I like my 823A. I think it's the best PTZ cam in it's price range. I wonder if the new Trackmix and new 823A 16x zoom will be better at following cars?
