Hi community. Hope someone can help me:
I'm trying to set up my cam as a "normal" webcam (automatic picture upload every x minutes via FTP – previous pic is replaced with the latest one. Filename i.e. "webcampic.jpg" should always stay the same, so that the path can be referred to in html). The pic-path is then hardcoded via "img src" on a html-webpage in order to show the latest pic on my website. Since I don't think, that the reolink team has forgotten to implement this rudimentary all-time feature that normally comes with every lowtier cam: Could someone tell me where to activate this mode in the settings menu?

The only option I see is the >>alarm-triggered<< filetransfer for pics/video with dynamic filenames (unique date and time + .jpg)

Thanks in advance for your help!

@user_615408209375314_615408209375314 When you activate FTP you should have image resolution, transmit interval and overwrite filename.

Hi Joseph. Thanks for your reply. But I don't know, where to set the transmission interval and filename you mentioned. Screenshot attached. There is no box where the respective filename could be entered. And far as I understand, the timetable an the bottom is used to activate/deactivate the FTP-upload triggered by motion detection – but not for setting fix autonomous ftp transmission intervals, without motion detection. For reference a screenshot from my cheap IP-cam i bought at ALDI – where the filename („dateiname“) and the interval can be configured.

I know of no method to set a constant FTP file name on the Reolink RLC cameras. (Battery powered cameras do not support FTP at all.)
(Lack broad experience with web cams, but some brands such as Wyze and Arlo also lack FTP.)

The effect you seek may be possible some other way, such as:

            • Have an app that watches the FTP server and when a new file shows up, erase the previous file and rename the new one.
            • Use something besides FTP to gather images from the camera. For example, this article describes how to load JPEG images to a web server:
