811A Vehicle Detection False Alerts

I have just installed my RLN8-410 NVR (v3.2.0.212_22111814) and 4x 811A PoE Cameras and set the motion detection to low (10) and a sensible min / max size for cars and people detection. After following the guides in the support section on fine tuning motion detection and avoiding false alerts, I have turned off All Motion alerts as the rain is causing too many events.

However, the rain is triggering the spotlights, which in turn triggers a vehicle detection alert from the stationary car on the drive when the feed switches from day to night.

Is there any beta software for the cameras to address this, or any other suggestions?

many thanks. I can’t find that option in the NVR, Client App, Phone app or the browser. Can you please point me in the right direction?

also, could you advise whether the cameras have additional features (like pet detection) if I don’t have the NVR and have the cameras individually addressable via a dedicated PoE switch and NAS storage?

@sunnydene_633805740503166 I don't have that model but I have various models and most of them have this setting. It appears under Alarm settings (Windows) and Detection Alarm (Android).

@sunnydene_633805740503166 Most of the new AI cameras produced by Reolink have motion, person, vehicle and pet detection. The pet detection is still in beta as they are refining it to handle a number of pets other than dogs and cats.

Well NVR beat NAS as they are easy to setup, have integrated networking with POE and have seamless recording and playback. Remember that an NVR is a function-specific for video surveillance video cameras and storing video. NAS is not really designed around a surveillance system unless a surveillance station is installed. Somewhere I read that NAS do not have the capability for face recognition and deep video analytics.
