      I have a situation.

When I first bought the cameras, i added all family members' mobile devices with the default admin account.

As I looked into the settings later on, I realized admins can change settings, which i didn't want everyone to have privileges to do so.
So I created a non-admin User1. I changed the admin password, so only I know the admin password and only I should be able to change the settings, sounds weird but I am the only tech savvy person 😛

      Now the problem is:-

      1. The family members who were already connected to the admin account, are still seeing the cameras, even though the admin password was changed by me; which is weird. Logically you would think if someone is connected to admin account and I changed the password for it, they should not be able to see the cameras anymore, unless they input the new password for it. But this is not the case.
      2. I have to add each camera on each device to User1 manually, which is a pain. Why can't I add each mobile device with User1 and it goes to all cameras on this account ?

What I am trying to do is:-
1- Keep admin account for myself, so no one else can change settings for cameras.
2- Connect all family members to User1, they can see cameras but not change settings.

So far this is not being accomplished. 😞

I agree this "makes no sense". When the password is changed, any device not set up with the new password should not be able to connect.

As for wanting to add the new account to each device once and have it automatically apply to all cameras, I suspect "that's not the way the app is built." Like many other smartphone apps, the Reolink app is designed to connect to cameras through the "cloud" and those cameras can be all over the place (geographically, by owner, etc.) The UID code is used to "find" each camera in the cloud. Some might have different user names and passwords than others. If I have five cameras, each connected to a different network in five houses, and each set up with a different user name and password, the Reolink app will let me see all five of them. The feature you suggest might wipe out access to four cameras (instantly).

            1. The admin account password changed, but users still connect to the cams without the updated password, is definitely not making any sense.
            2. Well not a new account to each device that would be weird.

Lets say User1 is given access to certain cameras, Cam 1, 3 and 4. Now whoever logs in as User1 sees Cam1, 3 and 4, no matter the location of the physical camera.

I know what you are saying the camera's physical location can be in different networks (as in 5 different houses). The cams per account (User1) can be connected to, based on the UIDs and the user can be authenticated via the Username/ Password. Now this can be weird also because that User1 will have to be a globally unique entity.

Scenario: My family member in UK can now see the cam in our house in USA. How can this be possible ? UID and User account 🐶

I am just wishful thinking I guess 😄
