Hello, I have had an E1 Outdoor hanging in my carport for a few weeks and am very satisfied with the quality so far.
Only with the "Auto-Tracking" do I have problems:
When a person enters the camera's field of vision from the left, the camera first turns to the left, but the person already disappears from the picture on the right. Sometimes the camera does not turn to the right fast enough to capture the person again.
I have a quite funny video of a postman walking from left to right to the door and then immediately back to the street.
The camera barely caught the person because it was too slow and turned to the wrong side instead.
Is there any way to improve this behaviour? -
Hi, there. Thanks for your feedback. Could you attach a link of this video here for us to check? For the video, you can put it on youtube/google drive.

It's supposed to have auto tracking. It should be fast enough to follow cars at say 25 mph. I hope so or I won't buy it.

@user_639393541140534_639393541140534 IMO Reolink cams that auto track are good at following people walking, provided the settings are adjusted.
I've watched YouTube videos of several camera brands tracking vehicles going like 35 mph. But the cams are mounted on top of buildings or are further away and have a long field of view of the street. In front of a house, where a street is close, say 30 -40 feet from the cam, that is a short field of view of the street going left/right. Cams struggle reacting to fast moving vehicles. By the time a cam detects a vehicle it's already going out of the field of view, the cam can't find it. I think most auto tracking cams are good at tracking vehicles up to about 10 - 15mph when the street is close to the cam. Faster than that and they can fail to track. IMO it's more important to successfully track people rather than vehicles going by which are not a threat to your home.
I had a E1 Outdoor. But a really close lightning strike shorted it out. I also have a 823A. It tracks pretty good. -
@md Correct especially if the FOV is relatively small. E1 OD was the first generation of auto tracking and since then a lot of improvements have been made. For instance the TrackMix is fast and one can set the speed.
E1 Outdoor: "Auto-Tracking" is not fast enough
