Hi there,I preordered the Reolink Doorbell and imho this is by far the most complete doorbell. Especially the storage part. But i am afraid this doorbell isn't perfect for 100%. But maybe i am wrong. What i miss is the notification on third Party equipment like Google Home although it should be Google compliant. When someone pushes the doorbell my Nest Hub won't let me see, and my Nest mini's don't let me hear that there is someone at the frontdoor. Isn't that part of the fact being "Google Home/ assistant" compliant? Isn't it a little detour to ask Google to stream the doorbell when someone rings the doorbell at the frontdoor? Is there a workaround for this? Are ther future plans to integrated this functionallity? I think this will make this doorbell simple the best you can get.
Although wording could still be made simpler with this clarification, the general implementation is improved and does a better job of outlining what everything controls.1v1 lol
It's great to hear that you are excited about your new Reolink Doorbell and its storage capabilities. Regarding your concern about the doorbell's compatibility with third-party equipment, it's possible that there may be some limitations or compatibility issues that are preventing your Google Nest Hub and Nest Mini devices from receiving notifications when someone rings the doorbell. One potential workaround for this issue is to use the Reolink app or other compatible apps to receive notifications on your smartphone or other devices. This will allow you to quickly view and respond to doorbell notifications without having to rely on third-party devices like the Google Nest Hub or Nest Mini.As for future plans to integrate this functionality, it's possible that Reolink may release updates or new features that address compatibility issues with third-party devices like Google Home. However, it's important to note that software and hardware limitations may prevent certain features from being available on all devices or platforms. If you are still experiencing issues with your Reolink Doorbell and third-party devices, I would recommend contacting Reolink support or consulting online forums and communities to see if others have encountered similar issues and found solutions or workarounds.drywall contractors
