Hi all, I'd like to ask you suggestions about securize my new house:

I have a single family house where I'll transfer next month, I saw some good offers on reolink product so I invested more than 1.200 euros on reolink products.
I will have many Reolink Duo FloodLight POE cameras and other Cameras POE to put all around my house connected to the RLN36 NVR, I connected and configured all simulating the project inside my current apartment for understand all the config possibilities and make some tests.

At the moment with the current setting If any thief will approaches to my new house and the camera detect him, only one small camera buzzer will sound and for only some seconds, also the floodlights will be on for few seconds.  What's the point of having a many cameras with sirens and a spotlights for security purposes if:

      1. I cannot set the time for the single camera siren
      2. I cannot set the time for the single camera duo Floodlights
      3. I cannot set for have turned on all sirens or flood lights at the same time
      4. I cannot link any other smart device(like external sirens or lights) different from the Reolink FloodLight

(I think at least the point 1 and two are simple setting to introduce as soon as possible).
Can I set an external wired buzzer to the N36 outputs for sound many seconds until I will deactivate it?
I read the in/out dedicated page tutorial but I don’t understand if when an external wired buzzer or light is turned on, I can set how many seconds this will be active.
If also this is not configurable..…the reolink slogan is “Be prepared be Reolink”…. what do you suggest for be “prepared”? a light or a sound for 5 seconds cannot scare nobody.

      Thanks!!!

The light should stay on as long as the camera continues to detect motions. I believe this is also the case for siren but I am not 100% sure. You can easily test it yourself.

I have used some anti-theft and home protection devices such as sirens or lights. However, when I focus on playing smash karts online, I can't hear them. I don't know if it's because the siren is too small.

This is only "my two cents", but the neighbors are not going to be happy with sirens going off every time a cat wanders by your house at night.
No problem with puny spotlights coming on, but sirens? OMG

I would save the sirens for actual forced entry. i.e. entry sensors, glass break sensors, motion detectors, etc. I also went with a monitored security system because all the sirens in the world will not help if I am not home. (Does everybody rush outside when a car alarm starts beeping in your neighborhood? Don't think so.)

            Just my opinion.

                the siren is a deterrent
when I'm at home with my wife and children at night, I would like the siren to continue to sound until I turn it off or at least for a minute and not 5 seconds or only until the thief gets out of view of the video camera (this also suggests to a thief where to stand in order not to be detected)
It is one thing for a thief to break into the door or the grates of the windows while a siren is sounding, it is another thing if there is no siren sounding at that moment and he can work calmly.
Obviously a siren does not save anyone, we are talking about deterrents, while the siren sounds whoever is at home will have to activate and do something for example check the videos, call the police, etc.

@villasecurity Unfortunately the siren will go off once the recording will end and this is not what you are after. So in addition to the camera system you need a burglar alarm system which shall have the siren sounding for an average period of 20 min and then it goes off. Normally a flashing light keeps going after the siren has been cut off. Some countries have restriction on the max cut-off time.

Another option would be to use the Reolink Floodlight. If your camera can be linked to the floodlight then you can trigger the floodlight and its siren for a max of 10 min. I never tested this. Check this out.

                    Thanks all,
I think the best solution is to add a simple alarm system where connect 2 sirens, I will try to connect the alarm system to the Reolink NVR bu the output lines.
Should be fantastic the possibility to pilot NVR for activate a predefined "scene" when a signal arrive on one of the NVR INPUT lines...in this case I could activate alarm and enable or disable a NVR scene with a Remote control Button (the remote control of the alarm system)
