I have a client that had an NVR with 3 poe cameras (RLC-410 if I recall correctly) and each camera had approx 5m network cable. He needed to move the NVR to another room so I had to pass new cables and add an additional 2 cameras. Longest cable is around 70m and cable is a cat5e (fully copper)When I switched on the NVR with 4 cameras everything worked ok however the 5th camera didnt want to power on (even the leds on the back of the NVR where the 5th camera was plugged in were off, all cables were tested with a tester). After fiddling around with the network cable positions (as I thought that some ports were damaged), deleting the configuration from channel management and also doing factory reset of the NVR I ended up with just 2 cameras working, the rest didnt't want to power on and the leds on the nvr were all off on the cameras that werent working. After 3 hours playing around I gave up and left and left everyhing plugged in the NVR.After around 2 hours that I left I tried checking the cameras from my phone and strangely enough 4 cameras were working. I tried again an hour later and the 5th camera was on also :S Any ideas what could have been the problem? also I would like to reboot the NVR to see if they work again after a reboot just in case there is a power cut but am afraid that issue might occur again hehe.
