Duo floodlight wifi, before you buy

I purchased a Duo Floodlight wifi and this needs to be known before purchasing.
These will not wire directly into your existing 110v exterior light fixture like other brands of floodlight cams. These will require you to have a plug in outlet receptacle on your exterior to power these lights/cams.
I was quoted $200-500 for a certified electrician to come out and install one. The only other option is to run a extension cord to this floodlight cam to power it.

Since Reolink cameras typically use 12v power supplies (low voltage), it is really common for users to place the power supply indoors and run the cable through the wall or soffit similar to the way they would connect Power over Ethernet (PoE) cameras. This also protects the Reset button and the Ethernet cable. The box includes a 4.5m extension cable for the power adapter. Reolink sells additional 4.5m cables as accessories.

@crimp-on_62210811129 Yes can be done like that just adds more work or cost to it over other brands of floodlight cams. 90% of my wireless cams are reolink but they are all solar powered so didnt have any issues with those and wiring.
For convenience and not having to drill holes in houses or soffit to run wires inside or having to incur costs to install a new outlet to power the camera i will be installing another brands floodlight cam.

@rm1969_375792473137368 This is clearly stated in the specs of the DUO floodlight. It's a 12V DC. How far is your nearest docket outlet? I think with the extension included you have at least 7m of cable.
