I have a Reolink RLC 420 which I have on test on our network. It has picked up DHCP from our server and I can see it via a browser on its IPBut I cannot see how to save recordingAssume this is simple but .....TIA all
If you need to save recordings to your PC hard drive, you need to use Reolink Client software. The web client won't do it.
OK - coming back to this - the client recorded to our NAS for two days and then stoppedAny ideas team?
Is the storage fulled?
Hi- no it is not full - over 3TB freeBut wondering if imposed limits in the Reolink client are to blame - wher best to set this and how much?Or is there another setting I should check?TIA all
There is no limit setting on the Reolink client.Another assumption I could think of is that the leased IP address to your NAS has expired after 2 days and thus your camera can't send recording to it.
Hi - no lease - we do fixed IP here - we run a domainThe mapping on the work station still works but still no recordings
I would love to help but without any logging info, it's hard to find the root cause here.Do you run Linux on your NAS system? If so, maybe /var/log/syslog will give you some idea what is going on.I am not a Windows person, so I do no know what is the log file that can show similar thing.Anyone can help?
All Synology NAS boxes run their own version of Linux - usually just the core with tweaks - and not easy to get at.I usually map a drive in Windoze - v 10 here just now - using the Synology assistant that finds and reads the Synology NAS - goes hunting over our network to find it.So I have a mapped drive on the box - again Widoze 10 - on which I run the Reolink client - and I point the "save" to that mapped drive. And that worked for two days and stopped. The mapping is still there, the cameras work, but images are not being stored
Hmmm, I used to have this problem with mapped drive on my Linux box. The problem I faced was that I was symbolic link the mapped drive and turns out it's not recording to that mapped drive, instead it was recording to my local drive! But again, yours might be slightly different case.
