Hi guys,
I have noticed that a new firmware for E1 Outdoor hardware IPC_566SD85MP has been released recently. That's nice, but what about the older hardware version IPC_523SD8? Do you plan do update this modell as well? It still suffers the same problems like the ones that have been fixed for the newer model (like unreliable auto tracking etc.).
Thanks.Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

The lastest firmware for IPC_523SD8 is v3.1.0.1643_23041100. If you don't have this fw then please submit your request to support on https://support.reolink.com/requests/

@joseph_1979 Hi Joseph, I'm currently running v3.1.0.1643_23041100 on my E1 Outdoor cameras, hardware IPC_523SD8, and I am having issues with the camera returning to the monitor point after tracking an object. I note in the release notes in other hardware numbers in later releases that tracking has been updated. Is it the intention to update this older hardware or is it now considered end of life (EOL). I have only had these cameras for just over 12 months so I would be disappointed if it is already considered to be EOL.

@user_617472889946236_617472889946236 You are on the newest fw. I have the E1 OD Pro and it still sometimes doesn't return to the guard point position. This is an issue which Reolink have on the E1 OD cameras. In the E1 OD Pro they have reduced the occurrence since the camera starts to track if the object moves out of the FOV. In the old versions like the one you have, the camera tries to keep the object at the centre and so moves with the object. Thence more tracking movement and the issue crops more frequently. I have informed Reolink to disable tracking altogether until a solution is found. There are similar complaints at Reolink reddit community. They need to improve the gearing mechanism.

My E1 Outdoor (hardware IPC_523SD8) has firmware version 3.1.0.989_22081906 but when I check for updates in the firmware update function I am told I have the latest version. Why am I getting this message if there is a later version?

@nick_26792935116
send an email to support and they will send out the most current firmware if there is one. The auto update and download section are
not always up to date. Ive had great success with support sending out updates. Also note that just cause there is a newer version doenst
mean it is any difference. Some firmwares have had version number changes for different model releases without any actual changes.
