Email text field too small.

I have already contacted support but want to follow up with on here as well.

I wanted to add my wife's email to the notifications as well but could not because her email is 34 characters long and the email field only takes 32 characters. I think this would be a simple fix unless there is a database column that has that same limitations. But even that is a simple fix.

Any update on getting more characters for email addresses? I noticed it was not fixed in the latest update.

Hi, not yet. This request needs modification both in firmwares and softwares (App, Client, web, etc) so takes longer.

That makes sense. I was wondering if all those things would have the same size constraints. I would like to see it match the RFC standard of 254 chars.

In addition to restrictions on syntax, there is a length limit on
email addresses. That limit is a maximum of 64 characters (octets)
in the "local part" (before the "@") and a maximum of 255 characters
(octets) in the domain part (after the "@") for a total length of 320
characters. However, there is a restriction in RFC 2821 on the length of an
address in MAIL and RCPT commands of 254 characters. Since addresses
that do not fit in those fields are not normally useful, the upper
limit on address lengths should normally be considered to be 254

any news on this? it was reported 5 years back, but i'm also affected. i tried to add a dropbox email address, but it's very long 54+chars. these are standard email addresses and should function properly.
