Hello everyone,
We've noticed that there are quite a few questions about the Home Hub in the group. So here's a quick Q&A that hopefully will address your main concerns.
1. The camera connected to the Home Hub saves recordings to both the Home Hub and its SD card. Our APP only allows you to view recordings from the Home Hub's SD card, but in the future, it will support viewing from both the Hub's and IPC's SD cards.
2. Home Hub supports connecting IPC to the same local network segment router, which means you can use your home WiFi. APP V4.47 allows you to switch the WiFi connection to your home network.
3. Devices connected to Home Hub do not currently support standalone use. But we will roll out a feature that will remove the devices from Home Hub and restore the standalone function.
4. Home Hub supports enabling RTSP and HTTP settings in the APP. These settings must be enabled to work with Home Assistant.
5. Home Hub supports all Reolink cameras with UID, except 2MP battery cameras and 4G battery cameras.
6. Home Hub supports scheduled recording.
7. We have released a firmware version that optimizes WiFi functionality, including support for WiFi switch: https://reolink.club/DownloadCenter-Com6. The APP will support this feature in early September, but you can download the beta APP if needed: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Kqb3UGCizWgccZ9feellyZop6rcSO00I/view?usp=sharing.
8. The PC client that supports Home Hub has been released.
9. Home Hub Pro will be available in a few weeks.
10. Home Hub doesn't support shortcut, but will support scene mode.

It's great. The development of wifi connections is more and more modern. Home Hub really always receives trust because of the quality of the recording. Watching really sees the experience is worth it. coreball

WiFi. APP V4.47 Tried every link and searched but apparently this app is not available . if you have a working version I need it to fix a new Home Hub that keeps choosing the wrong connection .

Is there a beta app for iPhone or a PC that will allow me to turn off Wi-Fi? The Home Hub arrived today and I was disappointed to find out that it transmits Wi-Fi instead of being a client device. I already have a sound mesh network to work with and I don't need any more signal interference. The Home Hub did update itself to the latest firmware where supposedly there is a Wi-Fi switch.

@user_599425412919363_599425412919363 Email support and they shall provide you with a fw.

Where there is supposed to be a Wi-Fi switch, the Home Hub has indeed updated itself to the new software. https://community.reolink.com/topic/14336/home-hub-q-a/2

@user_852427759653091_852427759653091 that stated in new fw. If you can find it ask support on support @ reolink.com

"9. Home Hub Pro will be available in a few weeks."
Any updates on this release date? -
Will you add the option to disable the Home Hub's wifi hotspot altoghether? this for my use case is a problem since the unit is conected by a cabe and the Wifi is interfering with my own Wifi network.

@geckome_842921427599495 Email them on support @ reolink . Com and check if they have the fw which allows to switch off its WIFI.

The latest iPhone Reolink app allows you to change Home Hub settings, including the disabling of Wi-Fi. The beta app mentioned earlier in this thread also allows you to turn off Wi-Fi.

Hello there,
Is it foreseen to be able to have different record parameters between camera and home hub ? My cameras are configured to record on motions, but if something happend, I would like to have like the last 6 hours for example (depending on sd cards obsiously) on the home hub. My cameras are visible, but if I get robbed and thief smash down the camera, then I can still have the records (even If the camera doesn't trigger the human motion).
Thanks,

@adevaux_634153688498234 You should have the recordings on both the sd and the Hub.
-
@joseph_1979 @joseph_1979 Yes, I did read that. But since the parameters for the camera triggers the record based on motion / human / pet, sometimes, it doesn't trigger because the camera doesn't recognize correctly. Then, the camera can miss the record. That's why I ask if it will be possible to setup the home hub to record continuously and keep the camera record on motion detection ?
-
@joseph_1979 I was not finish yet. In don't work with Solar, I work only with PoE device... So to have choice to record on sd card only motion detected records and continuous record on the home hub is kind of a need to me. Also, will be there any feature to "lock/protect" records to avoid any removal when the older records are getting erased to gain space ?
