I have several cameras connected to a nvr. Is there a way to share only one or two cameras with someone? When I create a user it seems I have to share all my feeds.

@dylan_674349904887874 Hello Dylan, I am sorry that you cannot select and share only one or two cameras with others when these cameras are directly connected to your NVR.

You may specify your system model name and I will see if it is possible that you use a PoE switch between the cameras and NVR. In this way, you can select the cameras that you want to share and use a PoE switch to make this happens.

I just looked up the poe switch methodology. That looks like it should work fine, I'll give that a shot.

@dylan_674349904887874 In order to share specific cameras then you need to access the cameras directly from the Reolink client. Currently your cameras are connected directly to the NVR ethernet ports abd subsequently you can access the cameras ONLY through the NVR. The NVR software won't allow you to share specific cameras. Either ALL or NONE.

So if you need to share specific cameras then you need to change the setup. You need to purchase a POE switch (assuming your cameras are POE) and connect the cameras to the POE switch. Connect the LAN port of the POE switch to the BB router. Then you can either connect the NVR to the other LAN port of the POE switch or to another port on the BB router. Then create another user on these specific cameras and provide the UID and credentials of this user to your friend. He should install reolink client and add these cameras.

@joseph_1979 I realize this is an old post but it seems like a common question. Just to clarify this answer. Can cameras ever be connected to both the nvr and the client at the same time. IE viewing through a client not through the nvr? I get the impression from the series of answers here that as long as the nvr does not offer poe to the camera but the camera is connected to the nvr through the LAN that it is possible to connect to both independently. Another way of stating this is if the connection to the nvr is through the lan port rather than through any of the poe ports then a client would be able to connect to a single camera independent of the nvr.

For Android users who are enthusiastic about streaming, is one of the top choices.
