The options on offer for post-record settings in Reolink Client software are 1,2,5 or 10 minutes. In my RLN8-410 NVR system most camera motion events are over in 15-20 seconds and therefore having a minimum of 1 minute of recording after each motion trigger is potentially using up valuable storage space unnecessarily. This is even more significant at night when insects are triggering motion. Reducing motion sensitivity too much may cause events to be missed and I have already reduced motion detection sensitivity during dark hours. I am proposing to add more cameras and am aware that online storage capacity will be reduced as a result.Product Enhancement Suggestion:Post-record options of 30 seconds and 45 seconds in addition to existing settings, this would save storage space significantly. Is this possible? Please let me know.I'm currently running the following:- RLN8-410- 3 x RLC-420- 2 x RLC-410+ External 4TB eSATA hard disk
We really appreciate your valuable feedback. The suggestions will be forwarded to our related team for assessment. Again, Reolink teams take your feedback very seriously. All the blessings~
I am having the same Problem. Espacially with 16 cameras recording short events (5-15 seconds) with additional 1 minute of useless video-material. That's a waste of 70-80% of harddisk space.I would also love to have a shorter time period of post motion recording. Good values for me would be 5 and 10 sec.
The suggestions are all collected and had been forwarded to our R&D team. We will notify you via email if we shorten of the post-record time. Sorry for the inconvenience. You may subscribe our emails to get the news: https://reolink.campgn4.com/Subscribe-Us.
