I decide to post this here to check if somebody experienced this problem I'm have with, at least two camera models.

I found Wifi problems with two brand new cameras (wifi connection lost after reset or power cycle the camera), contacted support and they instructed me to update both systems firmware.

After updating the firmware here is my complete feedback.

Step 1: Update the firmware and test the already configured camera.
Result: Wifi connection lost, the fault remains the same.

Step 2: Reset it to the factory state, load a previously saved configuration file and reset the camera.
Result: Wifi connection lost, the fault remains the same.

Step 3: Reset to the factory state, configure each parameter like the other cameras in the network, step by step and then reset the camera.
Result: Wifi connection lost, the fault remains the same.

Step 4: Reset to factory status and test it as is, remove power from camera and wait to start up.
Result: The fault disappears, so I figured out that something is wrong with one of my special configurations.

Step 5 (final one): Reset to the factory state, configure each parameter like the other cameras in the network but removing the power from the camera after changing each parameter.
Result: The fault does not appear until I change the connection type from "DHCP" to "Static" and surprise!, wifi connection Is lost until you connect it to the LAN by wire, does not matter if when it is connected with the cable you set again connection as "DHCP", the problem does not disappear until camera is reseted to the factory state.

Conclusion: With the last firmware update wifi connection is working unless you modify the network connection type, once you touch it you have to reset to factory state to use normally with wireless network.

Both cameras, the RLC-410W (Version IPC_51316M actualized to 354_19031112 firmware) and the RLC-422W (Version IPC_51516M5M actualized to 354_19031106 firmware), experienced the same behavior, They are not defective items I’ve checked with two brand new cameras on the first days of April and the problem is there yet.

If the camera works when IP address is provided by DHCP and fails when set to static, then some part of the static address setup is incorrect. For successful networking, ALL parameters are essential (IP address, network mask, gateway, etc.) Have you tried setting the static IP to

          exactly
the same as the IP that DHCP set up?

Sorry for any inconvenience caused to you. If the WiFi disconnection problem still exists after you upgrade the firmware for the camera, please send an email to support@reolink.com and provide feedback to them. They will check it for you soon. Thanks.

(Carl) This is a copy/paste of the mail already sent to support after the new firmware was released, feedback?, camera refunded.

(Crimp On) The parameters for the static IP are correct and working perfectly all across my LAN and also work perfect in three RLC-410WS and a RLC-422W of the previous series connected from more than a year.
The problem existed in the firmware that come in the new cameras from factory and is still there in the last version.

Oh, my. This is certainly not good. My network router is set up to hand out specific IP's to most devices using DHCP. That way, I have the convenience of knowing which IP goes with which device, but have the flexibility to change them if I want to. For example, I FTP motion files to a server which allows only certain IP's to connect.

                Nobody can experience this behavior?
                Nobody from Reolink?

The WiFi disconnection problem indeed exists, but the new firmware has fixed this problem. Since you've returned the cameras, we can't determine the specific problem on your two cameras. If you meet this type of connection problem on our product next time, we suggest you contact the support for further assistance before returning the camera. If our product does have problem, we are willing to help you figure it out or replace a new camera for you.
For the static IP, you can assign a static IP for the camera if you don't want the IP address always changes at will. This article teaches you how to Set up Network General Settings on Reolink Client .
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Hello Carl, maybe you didn't read the first post in full, I've already contacted support (request #117259) and as you can read there the 354 firmware do not correct the problem, in fact Reolink RMA refunded the camera cost to me but I didn't return it, according to their instructions, because of the shipping cost.
The cameras I do returned was the ones I bought from Amazon because all had the same behavior, and we are not talking about one camera but four, two RLC-410W (Version IPC_51316M) and two RLC-422W (Version IPC_51516M5M).
Because of that I assume is obviously not a defective item.

                    Sorry about my English.

A lot of time since my post, last Monday I ordered a RLC-410W from Amazon and the “DHCP” to “Static” wifi problem is still there, saddly no response from the technical department, neither here or by mail.

I have the same exact problem with two brand new ones I bought from Amazon (rlc-511w and rlc-410w). Updated both to latest firmware and when I change from dhcp to static, it works fine until it reboots and never comes back until I reset it back to factory

They told me to try the RLC-511W so, in fact, I think they don't have any idea and also they don't care about it...
I've told support that I can ask amazon to accept the return all the cameras I have, even the good ones and move to other brand...
What they answered?... we are working in the new firmware...

It was two months ago... then, radio silence...

I think the RLC-511W has the same problem.

I had a 511W setup outside back in January and after 1 month it suddenly was no longer accessible. I had to remove it from its outdoor location and connect it to the router using the camera's ethernet port and I got it working again.

Unsure about that camera, I mounted another 511W outside but closer to the WiFi signal at the end of April and as of today, it also has suddenly gone offline also about a month after it was setup.

I don't think there is a firmware update available yet for the 511W.

I plan to reset the camera in a few weeks (8-hour drive) - wish there was something different I could do to make it stay connected for longer than a month.

                              Hello,
I have exactly the same problem. The reolink c1 pro is there immediately and also finds a wlan. my wlan signal is VERY GOOD so it can't be because of that. but I can't disassemble the cam every time to reset it. I've done that 2 times and it brings absolutely no improvement.
i hope there will be another update soon otherwise i send it back and change it to hikvision, then i just pay more but so it is not usefull. i have to go there every time and restart the cam but in this time where it has no verbung everything remains unprotected. very bad.
good that i don't have a subscription and use my own nas. otherwise i'd cost more and use none of it.

                              regards
                              jack

Had some relatives at the condo and asked them to unplug the AC adapter, then plug it back in - the 511W came back online without using the ethernet cable approach!

                                  Hi guys,

I'd like to report again regarding the unstable wifi connection.

since i installed the new update everything works fine. rarely the time the connection gets lost BUT it gets restored and that is the most important thing when you are not at home and can intervene.

so i am again very happy with reolink in connection with my synology
