      Hi,

I am having issues trying to delete a camera device on the Android mobile app.
I bought a C2 Pro, but had to return it because it was faulty. I now own a new C1 Pro, however, the old C2 Pro device is still on the app trying to connect to it. When I try to delete it, the app displays a "operation failed" message.

I've tried uninstalling and installing the app, but the old device is still there. I don't have the old device for the app to connect to. Is there a way I can delete the device on the app?

On my Reolink Android app, when I click on the red "down arrow" to show all of the cameras, and then click on the "gear" symbol for a camera, it brings up a list of options with "Delete" in red letters at the bottom. Have you tried that?

Yes, that's exactly what I've tried to do. Every time I press the delete button it says 'operation failed'. It's like it wants to communicate with the camera first before deleting it, which of course can't happen as it has been returned. It worked on the PC app, but not my Android phone app.

This may seem to be a "drastic" solution. How about deleting storage and cache from the Reolink app. This should remove everything about every camera. That's in Settings->Apps->Reolink. Although it may seem silly, I am not confident that removing and reinstalling an Android app actually clears the saved data.

Thanks for this. Clearing the cache & data fixed the issue for me.

For Android Oreo users like me, you have to go to 'SETTINGS' -> 'STORAGE' -> 'OTHER APPS' -> 'REOLINK' - then clear the cache and data.

I do have another question. After clearing the cach/data, the app behaved like I had installed it for the first time and reminded me to register the device to increase the warranty to 2 years and 6 months. Do I need to do this again when I had already registered it before clearing the cache/data?

I very much doubt that a second registration would be successful. I skipped that step. Would be interesting to try and see if you want to spend the time.

If the new C1 Pro you owned is the replaced one, you don't need to register anymore, you can skip this step. But if it is a new product you purchase on our website recently, you need to register again to obtain the warranty.
