So I just got this camera (two actually) and I set them up with POE on my small home network. I only have on network LAN, and I can see the camera. I can ping it from my PC (windows 10). I can connect to it through the web interface. I can connect to it with the mobile interface, but I can't connect through the client. When I scan device in Lan, nothing comes up. When I add the device manually and use the correct login and password, I get failed login. Is this client just not compatible?thanks
engstrom,Not to be a downer, but if you're talking about failure of 'Client' to work on your PC, I'd be the first to tell you to find an alternative or a work around. I fought it for months and lost every time.Kevin
I would contact support@reolink.com The Reolink Client software on my Windows 10 PC is able to display and manage a total of 7 Reolink cameras: (1) RLC-410WS, (2) RLC-420 PoE, (2) RLC-410 PoE and (2) Argus (the original). I set schedules, download recordings, change settings, etc. etc. Don't get me wrong. I have some real disappointments with the Windows Client, and have made suggestions several times that "go nowhere." But it certainly functions. It is probably worth asking how these cameras are being added to the client: by IP or by UIC?
Thanks folks. I went back to it today and spent some time trying different combinations of user and settings and finally got it to work. I used the UID, and filled in all the details from the camera web page. It said failed and then for some reason success. So it's working now. Thanks. The "scan LAN" still doesn't work, but hey...I can deal with that.
Hi, Glad to hear that you have fixed the problem. As for the Scanning device in the LAN issue, please close the firewall and the antivirus software on your pc to have a try.And further concerns, feel free to contact us. Thanks!
Hi Crimp On,You may add the camera to the pc client using both the UID and the IP mode. Please refer to https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007007513-Add-Reolink-Products-on-the-WAN-via-Reolink-Client-Windows-/https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007946293--Add-Reolink-Products-on-the-LAN-via-Reolink-Client-Windows-Thanks!
