How does a WiFI only camera connect to a NVR ?
-
Couple of questions:
I have a new 8 channel Reolink NVR. Meaning of course it has 8 Ethernet ports on the rear of the unit for 8 wired POE camera's.
I see you can buy the E1 Zoom camera, which is WiFi only and it says you can connect it to the Reolink NVR.
So how does that work then?
The NVR records data over the WiFi from the E1 camera?
Secondly....
Does this mean you could have more than 8 cameras?
For example 8 POE camera's plugged into the rear of the NVR and another 1 or 2 WiFi camera's also connected to the NVR without any cables? -

Thanks for the advice.
It's not a problem I was just wondering how it would work -
Hi there,
I have a similar setup, Reolink NVR 8 Port with 3 ethernets IP cameras setup and working. I have now received an E1 Reolink wifi Camera which I have set up on my network but I do not see how I can add this camera to the NVR so that recordings can be centrally managed.
Please can somebody let me know how this can be achieved?
thanks

Please make your E1 and the NVR connect to the same router, and then you can add the wifi camera to the NVR in this way.

Hi there,
The E1 camera is on the same network as the Reolink NVR and connected via wifi. See the IP scan of my network with the 2 devices highlighted.
When I log onto the NRV I can not find the "Channel Settings > IP channel. Check Auto Add " section.
Thanks in advance for your help
