      The paper template for mounting is not correct.

      If you place the template on a surface with the printed side facing you and mark the 4 mounting holes AND mark the hole for the wire, the hole for the wire will NOT align with the actual wire on the camera.

      Also, the diameter of the outer most printed circle on the template does NOT match the diameter of the actual camera base. The actual camera base diameter is approximately 6mm bigger.

        We confirmed that the mounting holes & the wire hole do align with the actual camera. And the diameter is of the inner circle, which doesn't matter. You will tear down the papper template after you finish drilling the holes. Hope you can kindly understand.

          @Bob
          Thanks for the quick reply, but you are mistaken.

          See my images below.
          When the template is placed on a surface with the printed side facing you, the hole for the wire is located at approximately 108 degrees from top-dead-center (about 3:30 if the template were a clock face).
          When the camera is placed on top of the template, the wire is actually located at approximately 72 degrees from top-dead-center (about 2:30 if the template were a clock face).

          If you flip the template so the printed side is facing the mounting surface and rotate the template 180 degrees, then the hole for the wire will match the actual location of the wire on the camera.
          But your instructions (/faq/mount-reolink-ip-camera-rlc-422/) show the printed side facing the installer. So please either correct your instructions or correct your template.

          Also, to say the diameter of the circle on the template "doesn't matter" is very short-sighted. Before I ever took the camera outside to the mounting location, I took the printed template cut down to the diameter of the printed circle. Later I realized my initial review for placement using the template was "off" because the diameter of the printed circle did not match the actual diameter of the camera.
