Hello everyone, we have decided in favour of a Reolink instead of a Vigi and do not regret this choice.

The TrackMix PoE camera is basically great, especially in terms of resolution. However, there are some things that are a bit annoying and where other manufacturers such as TP-Link or TrendNet (our old camera) are better.

      1. Firstly, you cannot select your own logo in the OSD settings. Who wants to have a Reolink logo on the picture on purpose?
      2. You also can't add your own OSD text.
      3. You can't choose a colour for the OSD font.
      4. Unfortunately, the name of the camera with the corresponding stream is always displayed on the OSD-name, as the TrackMix has two streams. It should be possible to customise this.
      5. It would also be great if you could specify in the FTP settings that only one stream should be uploaded and not always from both perspectives. That would make things a lot easier.

Does the community think that Reolink will respond to such improvements? There have been discussions about OSD in particular for a long time and nothing has happened.

      BR Tim

@tw98 As for the Reolink watermark, you can remove it by disabling the watermark under DISPLAY. And for the FTP, you have to select which stream (Fluent, balance and clear) shall be ftped.

For the other requests, I suggest you to submit them to support on support @ reolink . com

I know that I can remove the watermark. I would like to insert my own watermark. Just switching it on and off doesn't do much for me.

And as far as the FTP is concerned: It always saves both images, from both perspectives. I can't select that it should only save one!

@tw98 I personally don't see the benefit of TrackMix Channel-1 (Wide angle view). TrackMix Channel-2 with the "Auto Track" and autonomous "Optical Zoom" on AI targets, should be the primary channel, or at least make it configurable. It would be nice to disable one or the other. Since ReoLink already has the programming autonomous operations, I don't understand why they don't implement autonomous "Optical Zoom" with "Auto Track" on all their cameras having these features. Adding to that, cameras supporting "Patrol Mode" seem to ignore "Auto Track", and run a predefined patrol-playbook/list, missing AI tracking opportunities. I don't understand why Patrol-mode doesn't hand off to "Auto Track"; w/optical zoom" when an AI target is in the FOV, then resumes patrolling after Auto-Track can no longer track the AI object. For the OSD customization, that too would be a cool option.

@dcronin135_844023754215584 I can answer that. For a general security camera the Trackmix is OK, I however would like much better optics for my use case. The fact the Optical Zoom channel 2 is only available in 2K resolution and only records in 1080p kind of ruins it for me. Instead, I use Channel 1's 4K resolution with 4K recording and then digital zoom via video software to produce a much clearer image. I use I-frame x1 and constant with the highest bitrate possible and the compression with x264 is still pretty bad. I think it's very cool that channel 2 can automatically zoom and I'll use it for active preview at 2.5x to avoid digital zoom but for zooming in on my bird feeders or sun catchers I use channel 1 for better resolution & clarity. Beyond 2.5x the zoom on channel 2's tele lens is very blurry to the point of useless if you were hoping for high detail. I find the optics in general fairly average and really fails if there's high contrast with auto basically blowing out bright areas to virtually zero detail, I have to use manual tuning to remediate and even then, it's difficult with the software's slider interface lacking incremental or manually entered values. I'm considering trying the RLC-823S2 PTZ camera but my experience with the limited and uncontrollable depth of field with the E1 Pro camera leaves me doubting it would be worth the effort to wire and review since I need objects at 5ft and 10ft+ to be in sharp focus simultaneously.
