Can battery powered cameras be operated by two different Wi-Fi at the same time? If someone else has your QR codes or camera UID numbers can they access the same cameras at the same time you are using them on a different Wi-Fi and different account.

@philmarion_266783024070796 Camera can only be connected to one WIFI network but accessible from multiple WIFI/LAN/Mobile networks. Recall there is a limitation on the number of users/accounts.

To access a Reolink camera, the user must input the camera password. My battery powered cameras* define only a single user account. Even if a person knows the UID (or gets it from the QR code), they have to have the password to log into the camera.

          • RLC cameras (not battery powered) allow the owner to define multiple user accounts with different capabilities.

thank you, it appears that the person that has hacked my cameras has control of the app as i cannot access the change passcode section on the reolink app, nor can i delete the account or attempt to recover password. is there a way to shut the app and app cloud down and start again. i have control of the cameras i believe, and since i stopped cloud recording, i have had no glitches. the fool has control of the 2SI on the app also, i cannot access that either. i can delete the app, but not the account

@philmarion_266783024070796 Just change the camera credentials and nobody else will have access to them.

Or better to reset camera and start afresh.

This may be a situation where Reolink support has to become involved. Even if a hardware rest is done on the camera, there is a good chance that the camera UID remains in the Reolink "cloud" tied to a specific User ID. That would mean creating a new user account and attempting to add the camera would fail.

Is it correct that you cannot use the app at all? i.e. cannot view the camera? Cannot view the camera settings?

Does "2SI" stand for "Two Factor Authentication"?

@crimp-on_62210811129 i can see the cameras on the app, i can see the storage, i cannot change the password to the reolink cloud and cannot deactivate the account. im cannot activate the two-step id, i believe the person has control of the cloud, not the cameras. since i stopped recording to the cloud i have had no issues, however a lot of files disappeared from the cloud. the person would have all the qr codes and id numbers for the cameras. it would be nice to be able to talk to a technician on the phone. i would have though that the app and the pc version were governed by the same passwords, but seemingly not. i have rebooted all the cameras, however they must still be linked to the cloud that this grub has control of.. frustrating to say the least
