I am missing a set of features that would help admins.

      • instead of showing just transmitting speed (for example android client), show also ping or packet loss (or other connection problems like insufficient bandwidth)
      • ability to run a quick network check - speedtest to nvr or reolink server. I currently have some network problems when cameras (without nvr) operate on high bitrate (8mbps) and are transmitting signal over 5G network. this would help me resolve the issue and find the root cause.
      • ability to run a quick read/write test of the sd card to know if the speeds are sufficient.

@vigy_591093180735512 I told them that the speed tests and other WIFI parameters should be available from the camera side and not the smartphone. We can use any of the myriads applications available like ookla.

@joseph_1979 just to be super-clear, client (android for example) should be just displaying camera's network stats and when generating network load, this also should be done solely between camera and reolink server (or nvr). client just displays the result. no proprietary code or service needs to be utilized, just use something like iperf3 (free, bsd license). implement iperf3 server into reolink website and reolink nvr, implement iperf3 client into camera, introduce anti-abuse policy and management controls (user interface to client) and that's it. i'm aware i made it sound simple.
