I understand the camera is fairly new to line up which is why I am trying to be patient when it comes to issues pertaining to the camera. I’ve come on here in hopes to shed light on some current issues I’ve run into. I’ll just list them off:

-Auto color balancing needs to be heavily retuned especially the HDR. The HDR needs better sensing as to when to turn off in Auto mode. And when HDR does decide to turn off it will not use the custom settings I have set for color mode. I currently have all Auto modes turned off but I would like to keep them on due to constant lighting changes around my home.

-When Doorbell is pressed it does not always get tagged on recordings/playback which doesn’t allow me to filter just the ring presses.

-If I answer the doorbell from my Alexa it will only record the visitors side of the conversation.

-The integration with Alexa/Google Home is subpar. Barely usable. Camera doesn’t always pop up when called for. And you’ll be lucky if google home app shows the camera feed.

Lastly as a suggestion, give us a scrub feature when watching recordings. Please.

@ram_799163019051222 I suggest you to submit your requests to support on support @ reolink.com. I am aware of the first two issues. Cannot comment on the Alexa part as I don't have it.

@ram_799163019051222 my Alexa/Google Home integration (I use Google) performance is dismal. The doorbell (and cameras) do not stream directly to the Alexa/Google device. Instead, the video feed streams to the Reolink P2P servers, which in turn streams to the Alex/Google servers, which then streams to your Alexa/Google device. In my case, that lends to approx 8 seconds of audio/video latency if it even connects at all. Needless to say, smart home integration is useless for me. According to support, the functionality is operating normally and the problem is with the connection performance with the Google servers.

Make sure that you have the Record Audio switch turned on. If that is already on (I assume it is) try turning the doorbell volume up... the doorbell's built-in mic should pickup your voice (as it is being played at the doorbell) and record it. That's is another problem I am having with mine... the doorbell mic picks up my voice and it gets played back during the conversation. So annoying. So what happens is, my voice gets recorded twice... once by me speaking into the app and a second time when it plays at the doorbell and get's picked up by the mic. This bug might actually help you. Give it a try.

Try switching to manual mode for better control, and check for firmware updates that may improve HDR. For the doorbell press tagging, make sure event recording and motion detection are properly set. If Alexa integration is unreliable, try unlinking and relinking the camera to Alexa/Google Home and ensure both devices are on the same network. The one-way audio issue might be an Alexa setting; check communication settings for two-way audio. As for the scrub feature, it’s a great suggestion and could be added in future updates—sending feedback to the manufacturer could help.
