Reolink RLC-423 record in HI res and upload LOW res pics to Weather Underground
-
The RLC-423 is a high res camera, that is why I bought it. If I want to send a picture to wunderground.com it gets rejected because it is too large (max=150kb).
I can set the camera to a lower res and make it work, but that would leave me with a low res recording too.
I wonder if there is a way to get a snap from the Fluent stream, rather than from the CLEAR stream.
I can get both to work, but the problem is that the picture size cannot be more than 150kb.
So, I have to set the camera to a very low resolution. I don’t want to do that because I am recording
in HIGH resolution so that I can see detail.
I would be great if I could tell the URL what stream to use CLEAR or FLUENT, most webcams have that feature.
Then I set fluent to low res and clear to high res.
Like that:
http://xxxxxx.dyndns.org:8888/cgi-bin/api.cgi?cmd=Snap&channel=0&stream=fluent&rs=FrontCam&user=action&password=xxxxxx
or like other cameras allow:
http://xxxxxx.dyndns.org:8888/cgi-bin/api.cgi?cmd=Snap&channel=1or2or 3……&rs=FrontCam&user=action&password=xxxxxx
Please let me know if anyone has the API.CGI command manual so that I can possibly find the correct syntax myself. -
