I have purchased the RLK16-410BB-5MP system for a large Clubhouse and facilities. The POE cameras will be ok at every location I need there. I have an entrance with a guard shack that has power and phone line available but running an Ethernet cable is not possible. The location is 1000 feet from the Clubhouse, so a WiFi camera is not feasible.
Is it possible to use the available power and run the signal over the phone line? The line is not connected to an outside source, but directly goes to the Clubhouse.

Sorry to tell you that the cameras cannot work with the phone line. We need to connect the cameras to ethernet cable to have it connected to network. Thanks.

There is still a possible way. You need to check and see how many pair wire the phone line is. If it is a 4 pair(8 wires) there is still a chance. Also you will need a power source for the camera at the guard shack to power the camera. You may have trouble with signal bleed in the old wire, there is no shielding in old phone lines. Since about the year 2001, I have been installing Cat 5 or 5e as phone lines, so you may still have a chance if the phone line is not too old.

Thank you very much for sharing that with us!

We are sincerely sorry to tell you that we are not familiar with the technology to install Cat 5 or 5e as phone lines. so we are sincerely sorry to tell you that you have to figure this out by yourself because we don't have much suggestion about this. Thank you for your understanding!
