Reolink App v4.41 Released
HelloI've purchased a Reolink 810A. I can access the clear (4k) view via the following URL with VLC:rtsp://user:email@example.com:554/h265Preview_01_mainbut when I try to login to the web client (in chrome) with the clear radio selected, the web interface says that clear isn't support, instead displaying fluent (low resolution). Can this be fixed? Thanks
Hello! We do not add this function to our 4K cameras currently. We will forward your feedback to the R&D team and hope that they can make improvements in the future. Before that, could you please live view the camera in Clear mode on the Reolink software?
Hello,The client on my phone works as expected, but this is not a particularly good solution for someone using a desktop computer. I think the issue here may be that Chrome does not currently support h265, and that major vendors are leaning towards AV1. Surely the solution is to build an AV1 stream into the camera (via a firmware update) and then a browser (and broader range of clients) can render it? It does look like AV1 support is required for future cameras, although I don't know if the h265 stream is produced by hardware or software..John
Is there any update on the 4k in the web client? Or even building a Chrome plugin that is a web client, for those who don't use a Windows/Mac?
I bought the RLC-811A camera today with the latest firmware. Unfortunately, the problem still exists. The program for Windows is not an alternative for me, because I do not use Windows and until today there is no Reolink program for Linux. Is an update of the browser view for 8mp still being worked on? Because I'm thinking about sending the camera back if 4K resolution is not possible.
@kni1m_241437029343391 Kindly direct this request to Reolink support. There are a lot of customers requesting the Linux client.
For starters, it would be enough for me if the 4K view worked in the browser, or at least 5MP.It's unclear to me why the camera is advertised with 4K when I can't use the 8MP resolution in the browser.
