i have the original Argus. is there a way to change the video recording length to longer / shorter triggered by motion detect (PIR)? i realize this will affect battery consumption but i'm ok with that via USB powered.thanks!
I agree, an option to set the minimum length of video recording could be useful.
Reolink has said this feature is coming, but that was months ago.
Hi communities,This feature request is under assessment and labotoray & invited users tests.
When are you going to let us adjust the recording time on the Argus? I'm getting tired of missing events. When are you going to fix the low standby time on the Argus? No matter what you say, it's not possible to get 180 days in standby mode. And it the camera makes a few PIR recordings, then the batteries only last a few months.
You may need to contact Reolink support via email to get them to upgrade your Argus for longer recording times. That is what I had to do and now I can record up to 30 seconds post motion trigger.
Please go to Device Settings->Record Settings on your Reolink app to adjust the recording length. If you can not see Record Settings this option there, then the firmware version of your camera is not the latest one. Just to double confirm, the model number of your camera is Argus or Argus 2? Please offer me the UID of your camera. Then we'll push you the latest firmware notification to your app. Please upgrade it and then change the recording length. Please refer to the instruction below to find the UID of your device.Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation!https://reolink.com/faq/how-to-find-uid/
Why did I have to contact support, have you gain access (via my password and my camera UID) to my camera put my specific camera into a que of some sort to get upgrade, and it take 2 days to get upgrade? Why are users unable to have the camera check for an upgrade, have it pull down the code and do the upgrade once the code is available? This seems to be an archaic way to perform an upgrade.
We are really sorry for the inconvenience caused! I'll forward your valuable suggestion to related department. We really appreciate that!
