I have an Argus and working fine for couple months. Recently, the cam don't report motion and can't connect to the mobile app either. I then reset the cam and setup the cam again. Unfortunately, I keep on getting "Wi-Fi connection failed!" Please check the Wi-Fi settings and try again. I have tried on 2 routers and even changed my 2.4G Wi-Fi SSID on the router and still no luck. Btw, all my other devices connect to my Wi-Fi router on 2.4G are fine. Any clue to mark it work again?
Same for me. However, I am able to connect if my cell phone is connected to the same WiFi network. However, when I am outside of my home network, then I cannot connect to the camera. My home Internet connection is fine. I am able to view my other security cameras while I am away from home, where they are connected to the same WiFi router at home.
Hi east and iriswu0703,The issues you two are having are NOT the same, and for @east, this camera may have gone bad and please contact our support for further troubleshootings & RMA. For @iriswu0703, this could be a software issue or server issue, we are looking into the issue and trying best we can to make it right for you. Thanks!
Thanks a lot for the great support!
I think I've resolved my problem. so just want to share the situation with you all and see if the development can use this case to avoid similar situations. My router and cable modem restart every morning at 4am. Looks like my router is able to boot up and get things running befor the cable modem. So everytime when the router DHCP server assign internal IP to Argus, the external IP is still at 0.0.0.0 on the router. Not too sure if Argus only picks up the external IP at that time?I've now changed my setup and no longer reboot the cable modem at the same time as my router, looks like my issue has resolved.I'm not too sure if this make sense at all, but hope it is useful to the development team. just a thought, because my internet provider only gives out dynamic IP. If my external IP changes, then same issue might also happen?
I have the same problem as the original poster. My Argus originally connected to my router with no issues but now cannot. All other devices on my wireless network function perfectly. Not impressed with this failure.
Dear @flaxleaf,Could you please contact our Support and let us look further into the issue you're having? Thanks~
