I installed the latest version of the camera firmware, and need to import an old configuration file, and noticed that the Import option is missing (see pic).
I've tried installing an older version of the NVR firmware, but that didn't fix the issue. So reinstalled the latest version.
I also noticed that if I try to Export the configuration file,,, the file never gets created.

@bill-doria Hi Bill, to import the configuration is not supported now.
If you want to export the configuration, you need to click the "browser" button to choose the folder that you would like to save the file at first. Finally, you can click the "export" button to export the file to the folder.
If you fail to export the file, please let me know more details. -
@reolink-fiona That is the exact procedure I am using, and the export file never gets created. But the screen says "Export Successfully!", after picking a folder and clicking on export. I've tried to save to different drives, and folders. Nothing works..

@bill-doria
You can try to shorten the path like "C:\TEST".
You can also try to install the beta Client 8.7.0. You can download the Client Beta Client v.8.7.0 via the link below:
Windows: https://home-cdn.reolink.us/files/client/electron-release/Reolink%20Setup%208.7.0.exe
Mac:https://home-cdn.reolink.us/files/client/electron-release/Reolink-8.7.0.dmg
We would like to have more info to fix the bug. May I know what's your country and language? Could you please give me the file path that you choose to export the file? You can send the file path to me via the community chat. Thank you. -

Country: USA
Language: English
I have tried "C:\temp", "D:\Downloads", "C:\", and numerous others..Nothing gets created (Windows Client v8.5.2).
I installed Windows Client v8.7.0 (beta), and it did create the export file..
But, we still need an Import option, otherwise Exporting the configuration is useless..
One thing I noticed right away with v.8.7.0, is that when you click on a camera to make it full screen, you then
need to right click and pick Clear for a better video resolution. With v8.5.2, when you clicked on the camera,
it defaulted to Clear mode.. Something to look into.. -
@bill-doria
Thank you for your updates and feedback.
For the configuration import functions, our R&D team removed it before because many users have imported the wrong file into the camera, which will mess up the settings of the camera or cause it dead.
In the 8.7.0 Client, the default stream mode of the one-camera view is set to balance, which is to ensure the smooth video. -
@reolink-fiona
Something to add to the Client v8.7.0, is a way to set a default for the resolution when you make it full screen..
Then the customer has the choice whether Standard (Balanced) or Clear..
As for the Import function,,, it serves no purpose to have an Export configuration option, without a way to Import the configuration. -
@bill-doria Sometimes our technical staff may also need to export the configuration file via the export configuration function. So it still keeps this function now.
