I recent added a RLN16 to my system. Previous I have ran POE cameras directly to the switch but ran out of POE budget for the additional cameras I am adding. Overall I am very happy with the RLN16 but I do not understand why the NVR has it’s own DHCP server.

Is there any reason why Reolink simply could not allow to turn off the DHCP server? Are features/functionality gained by this?

@mike_526059835678932 Hi there, you can change the DHCP to static IP. Here is a video about the setting, https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900003997006-How-to-Set-Static-IP-Address-on-the-NVR-New-UI-video-.
