I bought 2 RCL-520A and I have already lost hours to setup the device without any result. I downloaded app for mobile and for pc, and it's not working.

I read all the documentation provided with the camera, without any relevant information regarding the setup when the client is not working.

I'm very frustrated because I wasted money trusting a low quality company, with a not working software and without any documentation.

I directly connect to the camera with a cable, with a Tenda TEG1105P-4-63W. The router seems to power the device since the camera become warm.
My pc, connected in the switch can't recognize the device with Reolink software.

No IP are assigned to my PC by a DHCP, and there are no informations regarding camera fallback ips and how to make it works.
      I tried 192.168.1.x ,192.168.0.x , without success.

Can someone gives me this informations or how to setup the camera in a network without internet access?
I also tried to copy the UUID in the software, but without results.

You may need to connect the PoE switch between the router and the camera. Above is a set-up video for RLC-520A. You can have a look.
After set-up, you can just input the UID and password in the APP/Client to connect.

@reolink-fiona Thanks for the information but you mention a router when I asked for a configuration without it. Does it works in a network without a DHCP, for example if I connect the pc directly to the uplink port of the poe switch? Ofc the camera is powered and connected to the poe switch.

Usually ethernet devices have a fallback address they use when they're connected to a network without dhcp. This must be documented to allow the user to setup pc's interface to communicate in the subnet.

I tried many times with different interface setup, but without a router in the net the software cannot "show" the plugged camera.
When I went to a different location and I connected a router with internet access to the network (as you described before), all worked. This lack worries me because I could use the camera in a location without internet and to have a device unreachable is not a good start and I want to deepen how to use it without internet access.

          Thanks

@brazoayeye_545249048760515 Is it a Windows PC you're trying to connect the camera directly to? Do you have router software running on it? Or are you/ have you given pc and camera a static IP on the same subnet?

If you don't want to connect it via the router, you need to set up the static IP once it is changed next time.
Here is an instruction for you to connect the camera to PC without the router, https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007634973-How-to-Connect-Your-Cameras-Directly-to-the-PC-and-Log-in-via-Windows-Client.

Also, if your router don't have an Internet, you can also connect the camera to the router and access it in LAN via our PC Client without the Internet access.

@reolink-fiona I'll try again asap, I didn't see that window in my client last time. Looking at the tutorial seems obvious I missed the ip, because I tried 192.168.1.x and 192.168.0.x

@inge_241341868548265 : I tried different IPs but without knowing the fallback IP of the camera I cannot setup the interface right.
