Pre Motion Recording

I've just picked up a new Go PT Plus and it's been a bit hit and miss with motion detection. I'm running firmware version v3.0.0.634_21092700. I literally drove my car past the camera and it didn't detect it or record it. I checked the sensitivity and increased it from 80 and it's been better at 100%, but not to an acceptable standard. It also missed some kids trespassing. It detected during, but not when they entered or left. Am I missing something?
I believe there is a new firmware version that I've requested, but wanted to know if there is a feature like Ubiquiti have that when the motion is detected, you can include the previous 15, 30 or 1min prior to the event occuring. If there is not, is this something being considered?

Because the GO PT Plus is the battery camera, the camera will be activated when it detects the motions. So it is not possible for the pre-moton recording now. When it is in active mode, it can record the pre-motions.

2mins for additional recording after detection? User selectable?

This applies to all battery and PIR sensor based cameras across all brands. That's why I switched to PoE cameras.
