i have 8 pieces of Duo 2 POE.
in HD mode, on the live stream, i get 2600.00 kbps which is 2.6 MB
in low quality mode, i get 905 kbps
is this normal ?
I have cat5e cables.
I feel like, throwing in MESH WIFI 6 + mix and match of cameras from REOLINK would of been much better.
Tell me what is good.
So far, DUO 2 POE is not that bad but i feel like local installers don't know how to place cameras as they are used to single camera which is kind of BS to begin with.Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

I am afraid I don't really get your issue? Is the picture bad or stuttering?
I usually get around 6000-7000 kbps on a 510A in HIGH and around 300-500 kbps in LOW, both in color. That's 0,75/0,038 MegaBYTE/s if that's what you meant.
The cameras are wired and I measured these rates from the distance, so through VPN network and mobile phone.
Your 2600kbps seems a bit low compared to a 510A, maybe better codec. But if the picture is smooth and clear... I see no problem -

Have you checked the stream bitrate in the camera settings?
you can adjust the max bitrate from there.
I do also believe the duo 2 will have a lower bitrate (per lense) than some other models as there is 2 separate cameras. -
@jassi1989_576724897919590 Just set it to the max res, max fps and max bitrate from the display menu and watch a live view on Windows PC running Reolink client. Start task manager and go to performance tab and monitor the increase in Receive throughput (preferably in the same WIFI or network whatever you have setup). Toggle between fluent and clear and observe the change in throughput. One might ask what is the difference between bitrate and throughput. Well in simplified terms, bit rate is the number of bits per second required to produce a given level of quality for a given media codec. Throughput is the rate of transfer one is able to sustain over a data link. I have a DUO 2 WIFI and it provides a throughput of around 10Mbps.
