Just wanted to put this older post back in the spotlight since I too find it very frustrating ... when playing from a local SD card in the camera, you get the thumbnails ...but not when "upgrading" to an NVR ...

@reolink-fiona any progress on this? I just also “upgraded” to an NVR and unfortunately this makes it literally unusable. Can connect each cam with card to PoE switch but I suspect this is what’s causing the debilitatingly long connection time that didn’t used to happen before I added NVR.

@reolink-fiona even Hiseeu and Zosi have this ability, to show thumbnails on nvr playbacks. Very bad

I also find it inconvenient to have to play from the local SD card in the camera =((
