Please note that if you want to integrate your doorbell camera into reolink system, the doorbell needs to support the ONVIF protocol, and their ONVIF version needs to be the same. Usually we don't recommend to integrate the third-party camera to our system, as there are some compatibility problem sometimes.

My idea was not to integrate a third-party doorbell camera, but just a simple push button (because I will have enough reolink cameras, I ordered 9 pieces). The push button should only trigger an event.

But maybe I should find a simple and cheap doorbell camera and use it separately, as a workaround. Until reolink will sell a doorbell solution and I can integrate it later.

Yes, please add a video doorbell.
1) wifi compatible
2) powered by existing home doorbell wiring (like Ring), beeps existing home doorbell chime
3) two way audio communication
4) alerts to reolink phone app
5) configurable motion detection and zones
6) compatible with Reolink NVR

Without the doorbell I am more likely to purchase from another manufacturer that does have one, like Amcrest, Swann, or Ubiquiti

I made an account to suggest this as well.

A doorbell camera that works with existing doorbell wiring and can wirelessly connect to NVR's is much needed. Wide-angle lens should be added as well.

I have been looking to switch to a competitor's product for this functionality, but if there's something in the pipeline I'd rather stay with reolink.

I would like to also say I think a doorbell would be great addition to the NVR.
I also tried the Ring doorbell, but it didn't really work very well for me (too slow) so returned it. Later I bought a cheaper alternative which works ok most of the time, it stores clips on an SD card, can use existing doorbell wiring, has motion and doorbell notifications to the app, but can't be used with the Reolink NVR. I would replace it and buy a second doorbell for another door if a reasonably priced NVR compatible version was available.

Are any existing third party doorbells known to work with the Reolink NVR?
Reolink's pages indicate that a camera that supports ONVIF will work. However, a web search will show many users having bought ONVIF cameras and finding them to be incompatible with Reolink (for example, the ”Nelly's Security” model). Previous forum post on the topic here

I have been looking to upgrade my older reolink nvr and 7 cameras to 4k for additional resolution. Will reolink be producing a doorbell cam anytime soon? I am looking at switching to amcrest due to this missing piece of the security puzzle.

I would like to get on an email notification list when a doorbell camera is available. I know you previously provided a link, but it did not work for me.

I agree with what most people gave as important features, like- wifi compatible, using existing home doorbell wiring for power, and compatible with Reolink NVR, including alerts. Other- "nice" features would be: audio communication, and configurable recording captures and playback.

I hope Reolink releases a doorbell cam soon. Reolink will gain market share when they release a doorbell cam. Reolink knows what the competition is selling. Here's my wish list for doorbell cam.
2K or more
140-160 field of view, 1x1 aspect ratio so you can see packages on porch
human, vehicle, package detection
SD card slot in back
power options wired or battery
WDR for light/shadow contrast
color night vison with spotlight
two way talk
all functions controlled by phone app, computer, NVR

Nobody makes a perfect camera is all features everybody wants. But if Reolink gets this right they will have a hit.

Just came to say I would love a reolink doorbell camera. Just use the same 4k hardware, PoE, and maybe a 140 degree fisheye lens. It would be nice if the app would ring on your phone home and away.

I have a nest protect. But the rest of the nest products seem like last gen tech at tomorrow tech prices.

If you are going to make it work with existing chimes, just make one with a transformer, and another one that's wifi. So you have 3 options, ring on the phone for apartments that might not have doorbells, ring on a speaker, ring on a traditional chime for fancy houses. You should also make the doorbell have an info bit because some homes or businesses have more than 1 entrance, as some chimes have 2 rings

Ive been told that doorbell cameras with ONVIF will work with Reolink? Ive got a POE Reolink system but you don’t have a doorbell. If I buy a ONVIF camera, can this link into the Reolink software? And if so how?

I don't know how compatible other brand cams are with Reolink. From comments I've read it seems a lot are not. Some brands use proprietary software making it difficult to mix/match. I know with Blue Iris you can use various brands cameras with ONVIF. On Reolink Reddit forum it's been announced Reolink is developing a doorbell camera, they asked for recommendations about the features. I'm guessing it won't be available for six months or a year, but I don't know how far along they are with it. I want one for sure.
