Installed the POE Video Doorbell using Method 1 guidance: https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/10313334138265-Install-Reolink-Video-Doorbell-to-Existing-Doorbell-Wiring

Since the doorbell is POE I assumed the two wiring screws shown in the Quick Start Guide were to trigger the original electro mechanical doorbell via some form of contact within the doorbell.

Did I assume wrongly? Are not the two "wiring screws" contact closures based upon a doorbell button push? They definitely cannot be for powering the POE camera since that defeats the purpose of POE.

How do I get my original electro mechanical door chime to work with ReoLink's new POE doorbell camera?

The chime provided is useless to me for our situation. The lack of this feature is deceptively hidden from the quick start guide and most support notes. Why is this most basic of doorbell features missing? Unacceptable.

The only note that somewhat hints that the doorbell camera will not trigger an existing electro mechanical chime is found in https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/10313334138265-Install-Reolink-Video-Doorbell-to-Existing-Doorbell-Wiring.
"Note: After removing the mechanical doorbell button, the existing mechanical chime will no longer ring."
This note is ambiguous at best.

If an existing electro mechanical chime cannot work with the ReoLink Video Doorbell what is ReoLink's plan to fix this and when?

How do I return the camera?

@reolink-fiona Where does it say this in clear and plan language in any of the sales, installation and technical notes? I would never had bought this video doorbell had this fact been clear. Please advise on how to return this camera.
