Hi All, I'm new to CCTV and this forum so go easy guys
.
Just bought and installed an RLC-810a camera. Impressed so far.
One thing that is bugging me though is that a lane runs directly in front of the house. I want to avoid the detection every time a car goes past (way too many alerts/recordings) but at the same time I want it to pickup any vehicles that pull onto the drive - right in front of the camera.
I've tried changing the delay and minimum size of vehicles but it either catches nearly all vehicles OR no vehicles.
Any tips would be great. Many thanksReply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@steve_701706398327000 Steve you would use the Set Detection Area for that, and mask-out the street area(s).

@steve_701706398327000 Use detection zone as illustrated in https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900003638406-How-to-Set-up-Motion-Detection-Area-via-Reolink-Client-New-Client-/
I don't have this model so I cannot tell whether it has one global detection zone or a detection zone for each detection type.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I did look at using the detection area, however if I excluded the street area, it would also remove alerts for people which I require.
We had an incident on the road hence the camera being installed.
I guess what I need is the ability to exclude an area for cars only (which Joseph alludes to) but looks like a catch-all on the model I have sadly.
cheersReply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@steve_701706398327000 I do know that detection zone per object type has been implemented on Argus 3 Pro and DUO 2 respectively. I did request that this should be implemented across all the AI models and possible to add a scheduler per object type. This is all software and the routines have already been implemented on other models and so it isn't that difficult (assuming enough memory and processing power)
Try to email support and request it.
You might opt to record but exclude vehicle from push notification. -
@joseph_1979 Thanks Joseph. I've emailed support
