I believe that a balanced quality stream option for the Reolink TrackMix Cameras would be very useful in the event you want better quality stream (2K) maybe and details for the live viewing but don’t have the bandwidth to support the full 4K stream.

Useful to be able to select the quality you want when viewing both camera streams together using the dual viewing mode.

Adding an option to select quality during recording playback.

When viewing 4K the quality as I understand is good enough to have a function like digital zooming using the iPhones and Androids built inn screen magnifying (like one can do to websites).
Details of a object could be enhanced/magnified this way and get zoomed inn on even if the original by the cameras auto tracking function didn’t zoom in on the object you where most Interested in or could enhance zoom functions further for recording video’s already zoomed in.

@mikkel-aronsen_690542682833278 So what is your upload speed on your BB router? For 4K cams you need to have at least 25Mbps upload. If your smartphone is on 4G this is not an issue at all but forget HSPA (3G Packet Data).

this is a suggestion from my part, not affected by this myself, but do understand that the nature of bandwidth and infrastructure can be very different in different regions.

My main suggestion was actually to add control for end users to select the quality stream during dual-view mode. As I am not aware that it’s possible at this time. Correct me if I am wrong. I can’t se that the streams in dual view mode utilize the high quality detailed streams and there is my main issue as I want maximum clear details and a way to control this as needed.

This applies to recordings on the cameras sd-card as well, you may want to only view recordings in low quality regularly but when an important event has stricken up the increase quality and be able to digitally zoom inn using the IPhone and Androids built inn (screen magnifying) to enhance objects further. With 4K streams, high brightness and quality screens of smartphones today, it’s both possible and very useful to be able to zoom in on the playback of recordings.

@maro Correct. When in dual view the streams are rather in balanced mode and you cannot change them to clear mode. I do not know whether this is a hw limitation or a decision taken by Reolink development team. But individually the recorded clips are at the selected high resolution and 25fps (during daylight) as during the night it may go down to 15fps.

I propose you to do a request to Reolink support on https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/requests/new/
