Hi, I'm new so be gentle with me! I've been working my way through installation of 823A and RLN8 410I'm slowly getting there but my first question is:My NVR shows in the device list on the client but not the camera even though it's been automatically added to system and working.Should it be visible in the device list? If so, I'll add it by QR codeLarry G
@user_713404410871982_713404410871982 If you have connected the camera directly to the NVR ethernet port then on the client you should only have the NVR in the device list. To see the camera you need to get through the NVR menu through the client. If, however, you have connected the camera through a POE switch (if cam is POE) or a normal switch (non-POE camera) then you can have both the camera and the NVR in the device list of the client. In this was you have better management of the camera.
@joseph_1979 Thank you for your prompt reply, when you say, "If directly connected to the NVR ethernet port" I a*sume you meanto one of 8 camera inputs on the NVR? The camera is POE.Is it worth adding the camera through the client or is it un-necessary?Larry G
