Looking to find a method of uploading a mp3 or wav file to be used for a quick reply message. The app has the ability to record a message in my own voice which saves directly into the app (somewhere), but I'm wanting to use a text to speech file that can be uploaded. I could play the TTS file from my PC and use my phone to record it into the app, but looking for something more elegant that gives clean clear audio. A check through my android phone internal storage didn't reveal a folder where the voice messages would be stored.
Video doorbell POE. v3.0.0.2017 connected through local LAN to the NVR.

Update: I found the folder location in my android \\Internal storage\Android\data\com.mcu.reolink\files\reolink\audioFileCache.
Note: The Android folder can only be viewed using a PC connected by a USB cable.
Each audio clip in the folder has a .wav file and a matching titled binary file. I tried dropping my .wav file into the folder but as expected the app wouldn't recognise the file as there is no way to generate the binary file that would usually go along with it if the clip was created through the app.
I guess that's the end of the line and I need to record the clip using the app and phone microphone.

@neptune_654294262100039 After you recorded the announcement test it but do not save it so that it will not be uploaded to the doorbell. Check under folder /picures/reolink/ or the cache at /android/data/com.mcu.reolink

@neptune_654294262100039 Take note of the last created file and replace it with yours. Then click on Save from the appl. to upload the file.

Thanks for the reply however this didn't work for me. If i've got this right, two files are generated when recording a voice clip in the app. One is a .pcm and the other .wav. All files created are saved into the audioFileCache folder. The PCM and wav files that are uploaded to the camera (save button) are located in the temp folder and named doorbell_sound.pcm and doorbell_sound.pcm.wav.
I tried replacing the doorbell_sound.pcm.wav with my own .wav file, then hitting save in the app, but that only resulted in the clip recorded via the app to upload.
I'm happy to keep to forge on ahead only if it helps someone else, but what I've settled on for now is to record a message in my own voice. Next option might be to engage a voice over artist 😕
                PS: Phone is a Samsung S20FE 5G

@neptune_654294262100039 Make sure that your version of pcm and wav files have the same characteristics as the ones generated by the Android reolink client. Install a professional sound editor like Gold wave and check the sampling frequency, A law or u law, the bit rate, signed or unsigned, bits, etc.

@joseph_1979 I see the folder with the name audioFileCache. I access the filesystem with Total Commander not via PC,so I need to switch away from the reolink app, which results that can't store the file after copy the new one. I can see also a file called doorbell_sound.pcm.wav in the temp folder. com.mcu.reolink.....temp.

I've had a look at what you've mentioned and as far as I can see the temp files created are in /android/data/com.mcu.reolink/files/reolink/temp and there are no .wav

                      ad_custom_sound.adpcm
                      custom_sound.pcm

I've tried opening the pcm in Goldwave and it doesn't recognise the file format but I've figured out it's RAW PCM 16-bit, little endian, 16000 Hz file.

The problem is with the Alarm sound and the voice greeting, they both get uploaded immediately after recording so there's no chance to swap the file?

@smarthaus_seb you can add a custom sound without background sound (that sounds as though as you just uploaded actual sound file) to your DB or to any other RL camera by using 2 devices that has headphone jacks and a 4-pole Male to Male audio cable. Stick each end of cable in each device play audio file from 1 device and record using reolink app on other device and send to device. Sounds just like the actual audio file you wanted but can't upload to device.

That sounds like a good solution. I'll give it a try.

@neptune_654294262100039 did you try it yet? you can also control how Laud the sound is recorded by useing volume on device playing sound file. for me it sounds as if i just added audio file. why they dont just allow us just to add our own audio files is beyond me because who wants to add a recorded from mic with background sound to db or any other device?
