@reolinkshayla my thoughts on this new version of the app for Android is:
removed this app from playstore and add older version before this version NOW!!
@tonyht lol nope and probably never will as reolink doesn't know what they are doing. their app updates prove this.
@myreolink_533265780207845 right now save your money! you will miss most if not all doorbell presses (unless you are near your chime) also no call screen with option to answer or decline when someone rings doorbell. no actual logs that when preased x notification it would present you with video clip playing at time of notification. it actually isn't a video doorbell and tbh they should stop selling it and recall it or refund everyone all their money back they paid for it.
@ReolinkShayla I second what @joseph_1979 said.
@joseph_1979 shouldn't need a subscription. just pull thumbnail from sd card video or no thumbnail at all. i have a lorex 8x 4k camera system that doesn't need subscription yet I get a detailed log. i can click on x event and it takes me to video of event.
As the t*tle says. That being said all users should be getting free 180GB cloud storage FREE of cost until all issues are fixed and also until the d**n things actually acts as a what it was advertised as also with app updates for call answer when doorbell is pressed.
@tonyht and probably never will as reolink doesn't know what they are doing. this feature was said to be in 4.40 yet it wasn't. they keep promising so new buyers dont return b4 30 days. then after the promise and nothing and want to get refund they use the excuse of sorry past 30 days.
@joseph_1979 no it doesn't. I'm running a sip server off of my Nvidia Shield TV. it can be a direct ip to ip. as long as ports are configured. hell it doesn't even have to be sip. is the video right now sip?? no. all they would need to do is make a call screen in the app so when doorbell is pressed sends to app to answer or decline it doesn't have to be sip at all.
@joseph_1979 that would consist of @Reolink knowing what they are doing and so that means we will probably NEVER see call screen as they clearly have shown and proven they have no clue what thay are doing.
@joseph_1979 the doorbell itself can technically be used as the sip server as the doorbell is running Linux. the doorbell itself can technically also be used to send push images just like it does for normal push notifications.
@big_ted tell them since they pushed the update you EXPECT a detailed change log. did it auto update? when checking if update was available does it ask to install after downloading or does it ask after download is completed if you wish to update firmware now?
@joseph_1979 ok and?? as I said it doesn't have to be Sip/voip. and lets face it Reolink doesn't even know what they are doing. you think they know how to even implement Sip/Voip? i mean they cant even program their applications properly. they themselves have basically admitted they have no clue what they are doing when they commented on a post saying they need to find a way how to implement a call screen.
@joseph_1979 again you dont need Voip/sip for it to "ring" you know nothing so please stop making yourself look like fool. the botton press can trigger app to open a call like screen to pop up or open up that gives you option to answer or decline and can all be done without the need of Sip servers.
@big_ted have you noticed anything new or improved?
@joseph_1979 again thats not the only way to get a call screen to appear. the screen can be a normal app opening automatically when doorbell is pressed. it can a popup like screen that could also open up automatically when its pressed. many other ways to implement a call screen without even having VOIP/SIP like feature
@user_746623229407444_746623229407444 yep and they could also go out of business because of lawsuits and possibly cla*s action lawsuit and even ma*sive fines by federal governments globally due to the false/misleading and deceptive advertising they have done when advertising the so called video doorbell
@joseph_1979 here is reolinks lame @$$ update. just proves they dont know what they are doing or saying.
@reolinkshayla "Secure your space with confidence" lol thats a joke right? because right now I and probably many other others don't have confidence with Reolink especially when it comes to the Reolinks so called Video Doorbell, and the Reolinks Mobile Android App!!!!
@adrian-m_363708397707411 go here to download last version before 4.41. https://www.apkmirror DOTCOM/apk/reolink-digital-technology-co-ltd/reolink/reolink-4-40-0-4-20230911-release/
@adrian-m_363708397707411 they pick wrong beta testers who we clearly see have NO clue what beta testing means. I've been an alpha as well as beta tester for Microsoft and I know how to beta test.
